My half of a trade with *nods*I'm actually quite happy with this. I didn't do a complicated background, but I really didn't want to, just anything besides plain white was good for me XD
Not really sure what to say about this picture... but I like it. I think it turned out alright... few anatomical errors, I know, but meh. The odds are good that I messed up the character in some way, and if so, I apologize- but it is kind of a complicated character... took me forever to figure she had two completely different forms XD Yeah. Erm... here it is, hope ya like it, spook.

Heh, no, sorry, I have no tutorial, I never felt like I ever had any reason to make one... but hey, if you ever want to know anything about how I draw, don't hesitate to ask, I'll explain anything I can to ya

Erm... sorta yeah sorta no *laughs* For shading fur? Um... not really, but sorta... it's hard to explain XD I guess we'll start with how I draw fur- which depends on the length of the fur, as you've probably noticed with what I draw. When I'm drawing longer fur (tail, back of neck, shouders... etc) I draw it and colour it almost like I would hair- Almost triangular points that are dark at the top and bottom and light in the middle, making sure that the farther they get form the light source the darker they are. So that's longer fur.
Shorter fur is different, and closer to the method you described yes. But not quite... I don't press down hard, and the 'flick' the pencil. That would create a strange speckled effect I think though I've never really tried it...
No, when I draw fur I simply do light diagonal strokes in the direction the body goes. Instead of pressing and then moving, my pencil is always in motion... think of drawing a zig-zag type scribble to shade something, where you'd move the pencil back and forth really fast... then only draw in the zig direction and not the zag XD That should give you an idea of how I draw fur. For shading, I simply move down to a darker colour and go over the lighter fur wherever the shadows would be... it's a simple way of doing things, but honestly I'm still working on finding out just how I want to do fur. I'm not completely satisfied with it yet

Hey, this is really nice! Especially the colour sceme is really good! Due to the white and blue, the green appears to be really shiny! Wonderful! The only thing I am not that happy with, is the hand, that is streched skywards. I would have drawn her streched skywards, too, but this is maybe a matter of taste.^^
But all in all, really great!

very nice amigo! Spectacular job on the lower legs, they really stand out. as well as the wings.
