This is one of my new characters, named Luna. I finished this render a few weeks ago. Luna is a hybrid V4/G4/A4 morph. Rendered in DS3A with one UberEnvironment2 light, using an HDR file from the sIBL archives.Related content

Well, it started out as something for me to pass the time privately. I did a lot of game modding back in the days. But Luna is special. She was created a few weeks after my ex wife died. It helped me heal. And when I showed this to my best friend, I told him I didn't think it was art; but he insisted that it is. So I started to take this thing more seriously. Long story short, I set a few goals and made some enemies as well as friends. And it evolved from there. I like to call myself a professional who makes hobby income. It pays some bills but it is by no means a living.
I would love for my dolls to be in a game but the best I can do at present is a visual novel. It's "complicated".

I did get a few offers already, as well as some prospects for motion capture work. The problem is that the figures are proprietary. I can't really do anything beyond rendering animations and 2D images. There is a game license available, but quality would be lost and I don't have the chops to make my own game in 3D. Besides that, my work isn't as popular as some may think. Most people don't even give it a second glance. It was different back in 2012/2013, so I think I missed the boat, so to speak.

Luna has been an avatar for a friend whom I haven't seen in a while. And some of my other dolls have been avatars for others. Stuff like that makes me smile and brings me joyΒ π
