I did not mention this in the last upload, but I noticed last Saturday that I subconsciously channeled the colors of the French flag when working on Luna's hair. It was unintentional, but when I started seeing Facebook avatars turning blue, white and red, I saw that mirrored in Luna's hair. I made her face in that shot my profile picture very early Saturday morning. France was on my mind, but again a tribute was not my intention.

For the record, France has been fairly special to me for a long time. My last name is reportedly an Anglicized version of a name dating back to the Normans. While I have not been able to trace my father's heritage, I am betting that I have some French blood in my line.

That and I have quite a few fans who are either French or live in France.

Yes, I'm aware of violence across the globe. I don't approve of it; I'm generally non-confrontational and I abhor violence. I am acquainted with people from across the globe and there are a lot of people hurting from civil war and terrorism in the Middle East and Africa. But again, I have closer ties to France so the events of last week do affect me more. And as for Luna? She's a champion of peace, strongly dislikes violence, and death affects her greatly. She brings happiness to the world, and our world really hurts right now. So call this a very subtle tribute to Paris and France. But really, Luna loves everyone Across the continents, Luna is much loved and she makes so many people smile. Let's stop the violence.
