All these people talking about shopping.......... so on a whim, I took a picture of Kendra waiting for a ride after shopping
I wanted to use a good sunlight with sharp shadows so badly..... but the shadow bias was broken. So I fell back on shadow maps and added a few effects. That sunlight looked so good too

How long did it take to ray-trace?

The rendering itself took less than an hour....... 30 minutes I think. But I had some quality issues and shadow bias issues so I tried three different passes. In the end I went with the third pass, throwing the other two out completely.
It looks a lot different than the finished piece.
