Description
Current version, might be revised based on other changes. Gen 1 chart with some changes and an added Iron type. (Iron is not Steel, but similar in some ways.)- Bug is no longer super effective against Poison.
- Bug now resists Psychic.
- Dragon no longer resists Grass.
- Ice now resists Ground and Ghost.
- Fighting now resists Dragon.
- Ghost is super effective against Psychic.
NEW TYPE: IRON
Iron resists Normal, Ice, Ground, Ghost, Dragon and Rock.
Iron is super effective against Electric, Ground and Ghost.
Iron is weak against Fire and Psychic.
Iron is resisted by Fire, Water and Psychic.
This isn't meant to be a perfectly balanced chart, just a different one. Also keep in mind that all types will get better moves so fighting will actually be good against normal and bug will be good against psychic etc...

Explanations: Some of these might seem strange so here is my thinking.
Ice resisting Ghost?: Personally I think it fits more the other way around but that would be buffing a strong type to nerf a weak one. Ghosts and the Cold have always been thematically linked.
Fighting resisting Dragon?: Fighting is the closest we have to a hero type. And heroes are the only ones brave enough to take on the legendary beasts.
Iron weak against Psychic? There is no spoon... Also...Magneto
Iron's relationship with Ground as opposed to Steel: You don't usually build buildings with Iron (afaik), Iron is thematically supposed to be more like Sharp objects or tools as well as minerals (defense) so think of iron spades or drills digging up the dirt as opposed to the ground swallowing up buildings.
Iron crushes Ghosts? Ever watched the tv show Supernatural? If not then its the same reason as with Steel and Fairy. Old legends of iron being effective against supernatural things (Even thought its actually Pure things that are effective, not necessarily things like iron or salt but many type stuff is based on common knowledge and myths.)
Iron super effective against Electric?: Tbh, I just wanted another weakness for this type and I have heard people talk about wanting Steel to be SE against it. There is a lot of arguing about electric and its relation to conduction...I just can't be bothered to overthink it
