After my Daz AI protest piece ,a regular piece again.
I made this for the Dragon contest over at Renderhub some weeks back.
a lot of the environment is instanced rock formations that were stacked and scaled to look right
Same with the plants that grow between some of the rocks.
The mountains in the back are forced perspective pieces placed to suggest a larger landmass behind the rocky shoreline, that would otherwise look like just some rocks in the middle of nowhere.
A lot of time was spent fitting the dragon saddle to this Wyvern.
the saddle was made for a conventional dragon and didn't fit right for this shape of animal.
The motion blur on both the Kraken and the dragon wings was added in Photoshop to get a more dynamic look.
Usually dragons and monsters are shown in more obscure lighting conditions, I decided to go the other way and show these in full light.
