unfortunately I haven't. (honestly, i would really like to see more of his movies, really...) I don't doubt any second they're good...do you have any titles to suggest?

-Fudoh (this is what got him recognized overseas)
-Audition (the first half of the movie you could show to your grandma but afterwards things go downhill, in a terribly good way, well not for the protagonist)
-Gozu (the most bizarre yakuza/horror/darkcomedy ever, highly recommended)
-Hazard City,American title: City of Lost Souls ("Love")
-Full Metal Yakuza (yakuza robocop thing, it can get dead serious and hilarious)
-Dead or Alive (my personal favorite out of the trilogy)
-Dead or Alive 2 (the two actors are now friends instead of rivals)
-Dead or Alive 3 (roles are reversed, set in a sci-fi future)
-the Happiness of the Katakuris (his only musical ever)
-Visitor Q (the most fucked up family with almost every taboo in the book)
-Zebra Man (exactly what it sounds like)
there's some more i could put down, these are the best to start of with, check ebay stores for bootlegs which most actually have good quality and are cheap, or you could find these in Newbury Comics or BestBuy

you must have seen the american release of the movie. i have a bootleg version that strangely has more acurate subtitles. during the seen where kakihara takes of his mouth piercings he actually says there is "no love in your violence" which sounds so much better. but in japanese "punch" and "violence" might mean the same i don't know i only know some japanese

This is definitely different than from your usual drawings. It has detail! Not that I didn't like your drawings when they didn't have a lot of detail to them, but you did a good job.
I haven't seen the movie, but I've seen the cover of Itchi the Killer and you definitely got his appearance down to a T.

thanks! yeah you should watch Ichi the Killer. make sure you get the unrated version because the r rated one is butchered. not only gore, but character development scenes were cut out. you can find it for a decent $13 at bestbuy which is a very good deal. but watch Audition first if you can.

nice one Will, the only criticism i would make is that the body doesnt match up with the head, the bold outlining around the body kind of offsets the like-ness. but thats just me, awesome detail though!

yeah i know. i purposely did that, i don't know why but maybe because the face is more detailed and i didn't want to use thick lines on it and i don't care about the proper techinques. but thanks for the compliment! hey i want to see your alex costume man!

You really nailed the likeness here, deffinitely got that smile down. Miike is INSANE and he makes more movies than any filmmaker out there.

thanks man. that movie is one of my favorites ever. miike is the goddamn shit. yeah i read that he put out over 50 films in 11 years. not all of them are good but, at least 50% of them are incredible, which is still a large no. haven't seen any of his recent stuff yet like zebra man (i have to see this one), one missed call, or izo, but the last thing iv'e seen from him was gozu, one of the most strangest movies i've ever seen but also one of the most interesting things ever. very lynch influenced but also unique.

hey did you watch his Full Metal Gokudo(or Yakuza)? there is some brutal scenes in there but there is also some really funny ass shit!!! if you did, remember that fucking defense stance Hajima whatever his name is does? goddamn that was fucking funny.
