Very nice. I love the emotion and the spontaneous feel of the photo. Do you have a colored version?

Maybe. But it depends on whether or not I think the photo is better suited to b/w or colour.
You can probably tell I'm a big fan of b/w, but some things do work better in colour... such as this: [link]

Thanks Mike, I wish you could get rid of that box altogether. And yes you're right, I purposely don't write anything (usually) so that people can form their own opinions/ideas without my influence. As soon as you write anything in that box you are going to interrupt the viewer's thoughts and guide them away from their own understanding.

was gunna add a PS ... mebby colour in that text ? leaving the rest in B&W ? or would that just be too damn obvious .. again over writing what your trying to say in imagery rather than damn obvious words

Awesome concept billy, i tried to do something like this with books but this is so much better. It is really good that the magazines cover the entire field of view and they are all different angles, there is so much stuff to look at, but obviously the eye is drawn to julia. It is an excellent expression for this shot, and her hair being strewn around her makes me think of glamour photography, which is slightly ironic considering your message for the photo.
The only things i think could make this better would be a slight crop-rotate so that the edge of the photo follows the symmetry of her face and shows exactly half, also a slight crop at the bottom to remove the foo fighters logo, it detracts somewhat from the concept as it doesnt really fit with the girl obsessed with magazines and beauty. Also, the pure white t-shirt makes a good contrast to the multi-tonal magazines. I would also like to see a colour version, i think this b+w is probably going to look better but i dont know until i have seen both. Fucking sweet photo though man, i would consider it for your gallery if it isnt too late.
TAKE SOME NEW PHOTOS BILLY, AND SUBMIT GOOD SHOTS LIKE THIS FASTER Dec 1, 2005, @ 2:11:49 PM until Jun 20, 2006 is way too long to hold onto a good photo.

I did not see that, damn. By the way, excellent use of the word capitulating, it is not used enough, just like bombastic and magniloquent.

Bombastic, never knew that was a real word. I always thought it was something invented by the Simpsons.
