Description Full Title: "Down Syndrome and Autism: Similarities and Differences." I also wanted to say "The Synonyms and Antonyms of Down Syndrome and Autism" but that's not true, but I just wanted to say that! And even if I could it wouldn't have fit in the title bar!

I have for you a drawing of Carlos "CJ" Casagrande Junior, who has Down Syndrome, with my O.C. Cody Carpenter, who has, take a guess! And this is my second picture of these two together, this is my first one  www.deviantart.com/willm3luvtr… Don't these two make good friends?

I don't know many similarities and differences between Down Syndrome and Autism, I was hoping you, the viewer, would share that in your comments, and not just with me but with others seeing this. From what I know, people with Down Syndrome have something in common with people with autism, they're both disabilities, mental disabilities as a matter of fact and people with these can still learn, just at a slower rate than people who have neither of these conditions. And people with Down Syndrome and people with autism show keen interest in some things. One more thing people with DS and ASD have is that they're really interesting people and depending on their personalities and behaviors, they can be quite impressive!

Some differences between DS and ASD, well it's easier to tell if someone has DS than ASD, at least by the look on their faces and how their eyes are. But what the face looks like isn't the only thing DS people have to deal with. But those with ASD, like Cody, it's hard to tell just by looking at them or listening to them. Well if you just look at them, you won't know, but by the way they talk and what they constantly talk about, probably how they act/react, and how they respond, you may just get an idea. Unfortunately I'm guilty of making false assumptions of people having autism, they sounded like they did but they really didn't! But autism is much less obvious than Down Syndrome, people with DS stick out while we with autism blend in!

Of course not all people with DS are the same and not all people with autism are the same either, we're all different even though we may have similar traits, conditions, and behaviors. I feel like I read someone say that CJ has a mild case of Down Syndrome but I forget where I read it and I thought it was said on this page about CJ  theloudhouse.fandom.com/wiki/C…. Well, Cody has a mild case of autism too, or an almost moderate case of it but he's high-functioning (I still haven't decided if I should have him have Asperger's or not but that probably won't be necessary, I'm content with him just having autism. But I can give him Asperger's if lots of you want, otherwise I'm sticking just to Cody having autism but a high-functioning form of it.

Well now, I've said what I could say about Down Syndrome and Autism, what they have in common and what they're differences are, and was happy to provide a picture of these two mentally-challenged characters. And I hope some of you draw a picture of these two together too!

It would make sense that CJ has a mild case of Down's Syndrome, to make him more relatable to kids in the audience who aren't used to seeing mentally challenged people.
