Ever seen locomotives in the middle of the train? Well I know many of you have. But this is the first train I saw that day that had locomotives in the middle of the train!

It's a very long train too and I do wonder if this is two trains in one! It's likely not! And I think lately freight trains have gotten longer and are twice as long as they used to be. in fact I hear trains have gotten longer! And don't it seem weird to be having locomotives mid-train instead of just at the front of the train? In fact I don't know what's weirder, having locomotives in the middle of the train or having them at the end of the train. But I think I know why the locomotives are placed mid-train in addition to the front, to be able to pull all the cars on the train!

Anyway so we have locomotives 8583 and 2624 and getting ready to cross Main Avenue.

Having mid-train locomotives was a rare sight to see, at least for me. Now this seems to be getting more common, at least it seems to be. I'm not at the railroad tracks very much to know for sure and I'm not going to fib and give false information!
