The Maya and Miguel main characters, at least the human characters (from left to right,) Andy Arlington, Theo McEwen, Miguel Santos, Tito Chavez, Maya Santos, Maggie Lee, and Chrissy Lum all genderbent!

I struggled with this and this took me hours to do! Took me like three to five hours to draw the picture and color it and I had to do a lot of erasing and redrawing. Then it took me about an hour or so to edit this picture on my computer after scanning it!

What was also very hard was trying to figure out how to design genderbent versions of these seven characters, how to make girl-versions of the boys and boy-versions of the girls! I mean I knew to add eye-lashes to to them and I knew to give them longer hair and make the boys with shorter hair and minus the eye-lashes! But what I had to figure out was how to redress the characters and how to redo their hairs. Some of it was easy like Tito's, which I colored black forgetting it was dark brown and forgot to edit that! Genderbent Chrissy's hair was also easy to do, I figure since he's Afro-Dominican and Black/African males have black curly hair, he'd have it! I also decided to give genderbent Theo curly long hair! But many of the hair styles were hard to decide, some I started off with one style then went with another. Originally Genderbent Miguel's hair was completely similar to Boy-Miguel's, only with an extension to the back, but then I decided to remove the spikes on the right. Genderbent Andy was also going to have her hair down but I figured I should give one of the girls a different style and so I put her hair in a tail.

Genderbent Maya and Maggie's hairs weren't so easy either, especially Gendergent Maggie's! At first they were just going to be like their regular counterpart's hairs only much shorter, but then after thinking about Mr. Nguyen's hair style, I decided to make their hairs a little more like his by adding spikes that go off their heads! I had more trouble with Boy-Maggie because it seemed no matter what he kept looking like a short-haired girl! To my surprise after coloring this, he does look more like a boy!

As to their clothing, I pretty much decided to keep to how they're regular-gender versions are dressed but I did change their shirts around, giving Girl-Andy and Girl-Miguel shorter-sleeved shirts, giving gender-bent Maggie a short-sleeve T-shirt but longer than that of the girls, and Boy-Maya and Boy-Chrissy flannels. I also gave boys pants and the girls skirts, except Girl-Miguel, who is supposed to be wearing pants similar to Girl-Maya's. And about boy-Chrissy, what?, boys can wear pink! Well, I guess I should have given him a blue flannel and gave Girl-Maya a pink shirt and perhaps red pants, but I just decided to go with what I saw on The Loud House "One of the Boys!" Oh and in place of the heart on Maya's chest, I gave her boy-version a gold dog-tag he wears around his neck. And before I forget, the girls are wearing earrings, not the boys although boys can wear earrings too!

I also changed some of their shoes but left them the colors they were in their regular genders. But I did do somewhat of a shoe-swap. For example, Girl-Andy is wearing shoes similar to Girl-Chrissy's, Girl-Theo is wearing shoes similar to Girl-Maggie's, and let's say Maya and Miguel swapped shoes but the shoes remain in the colors their regular-gendered counterparts wear (all of them are like that!) Girl-Tito and Boys-Maya, Maggie, and Chrissy are all now wearing sneakers!

I know not all of you are going to like this, I don't really like it all that much either, but like I said I struggled with this, and I have been hesitant to do this, so Benjamin, you better like this! And if any of you don't like it, which is cool if you don't, and think you can do a better job than this, be my guest! It's hard enough to make the Maya and Miguel characters as they really are but trying to genderbend them is way harder!

As interesting as this is, I think I prefer the Maya and Miguel characters just as they are! I also don't think I'm going to do something like this with these characters again, I'm not really all that much on genderbending except with The Loud House although that can make me a bit queezy too sometimes!
