Happy New Year, everyone! 2016 was the last year for Fun Publications run on official Transformers stuff. I've been fortunate enough to be able pencil some artwork for them over the past few years. Pete Sinclair and Jesse Wittenrich have given me the opportunity to work and collaborate with a lot of artists that I had always admired as a fan (Makoto Ono, Hayato Sakamoto, Alex Milne) and meet and collab with a lot of people that I had been always been fans with on official licensed work (Winston Bolen, Jake Isenberg, Josh Burcham, Robby Musso, Teyowisonte Thomas Deer). For me this was huge as it was something I'd never thought I'd be able to do while I was in the military... and because of my occupation, a lot of the artwork that was asked of me was done while on deployment. Those opportunities helped me to focus and got my mind off some pretty tough challenges I was facing... despite having to race deadlines for the art. I was able to do my first real published sequential art with them and even have a hand in helping to design some official characters. My involvement was usually pretty sporadic, but I have always been grateful for the opportunities.
