My entry for the AshfurClub contest, out of the two choices, "Draw you favorite scene with Ashfur from the books" or "Draw your favorite Ashfur paring", I chose to draw my favorite Ashfur scene ^0^~
And this is it. When Squirrelflight was one blow away from death but Ashfur leaped in to save the day during the badger attack in Twilight. And yet, even after saving her hlife, she still rejects him v.v
I worked REALLY hard on it so I hope everyone likes eet~

I can see how you can feel that way, but I like to look at both perspectives before judging :3 *INSERT SPOILER WARNING HERE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ PAST THE POWER OF THREE* He was a real jerk in The Power of Three, but my favorite scene of his has to be when he volunteered to get chased by the dogs back in A Dangerous Path, and I really feel for him. I mean, he kept his head up high and cheery all throughout The New Prophecy despite his mother and two of his siblings dying when he was just an apprentice. And after that, he went through so much misery, and was the first to be worried about Cloudpaw when he disappeared. He was also one of the very few to welcome Squirrelpaw and Brambleclaw back from the journey. He put in a lot of service to his Clan, a lot more then others, and I respect him. And although Squirrelflight DID aid on the journey, I lost a lot of respect towards her when she chose to use Ashfur to get to Brambleclaw, and even fought with Brambleclaw just because she didn't like Hawkfrost. Sure he was a little overprotective of Squirrelflight, but that's because he's never had much warmth and friendship in his life past companionship in the first place.

Ashfur's pretty cool :3 When you think about it, he did do A LOT for the Clan, but he's just famous for the things he did bad. So I personally really like Ashfur <3 Not for being all crazeh on Squirrelflight, but for all the courage he's shown in the past.

Ashfur is personally one of my favorites, but a lot of people have the same opinion as you :3 Although I must say, if I didn't hate the fan-pairing, Ashfur and Whitewing's colors would look really good together.
