Description

An alternate ending for Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.  Some people would have the alternate ending be Sora just getting 'Norted and that being it.  But remember, while Xehanort managed to get Sora into a heart-slumber, there are three other hearts in there with him.  And Xehanort broke a piece off of his heart to try to possess Sora.  Since Xehanort has, as of the most recent trailer, possessed fourteen others, including four of himself, and having two more Seekers of Darkness than he said he needed...

Also, there's this one, which Lea maybe destroyed/diverted in saving Sora in canon, so he's split his heart fifteen times, and it seems he's still trying to get Sora.

So, I'm just going to say the piece he threw at Sora was 1/20 of his own heart.  Now, you may be reading this and wondering why Sora would still be included in the image (to which my answer would be "because I chose to put him there"), but if Roxas, Xion and Ventus (or maybe just Roxas) chose to actually contribute, they might have been able to pull Sora's heart from its slumber, maybe enough to get him to join them on a Dive to the Heart station.

Now, let's see...

The Xehanort in Sora equals to 1/20 of a heart...

Sora, Roxas, Xion, and Ventus add up to 4 hearts, unless KH3 or a later game decided to reveal that he had another heart hidden away inside him...

So, correct me if my math is off, but 4 is greater than 1/20.  And considering that Sora and Roxas have been shown to fight Heartless and Nobodies within their own hearts, and given the playable characters' track record against Xehanort derivatives and god-tier foes...

Xehanort may have been smart enough to set up several side plans concurrent to one another and use time travel as a Plan C (if not D), but he should probably brush up on his algebra, and maybe double-check his list of people he's p***** off.

I am really proud of the coloring I managed to pull off with this.  Granted, I just chose the fill color rather than do any actual painting, but it's still amazing how close the colors ended up looking.

Of course, I appear to have overestimated the effect that the artboard size has on the actual dimensions of the project.  You'd think anything going over the artboard would just be cropped off automatically.

I do not own Kingdom Hearts or its characters.  I own a copy of most of the games' titles, but I have no legal involvement with the game or its licenses.
