The Chest of Demons is a Miracle Box, the Miraculouses inside binding the thirteen most evil Kwamis in existence. Under the watch of the Guardian Vincent van Ghoul, it is enchanted so that only the pure of heart can open it. Bogel and Weerd, the ghosts of evil former Miraculous Holders, trick Scooby and Shaggy into opening the box, allowing them to steal the Miraculouses and distribute them to villains around the world. Vincent van Ghoul sends Mystery Inc. to locate and recover the Miraculouses.
