This was pretty fun to do, I did not feel like drawing a one archvile so I started to sketch out some designs for him,...

The one up in the air that looks like he is getting ready to cast his fire wall thing makes me think of one of the disciples of D'sparil. from heretic.
Also and arch-vile is like number three on my list of demons in doom that make me go : OH CRAP! :

They are a scary bunches are they...I did not just want to make them fire users but also black magic casters...some of them take the look of demonic priest, a cruel mockery of clergy of the chruch. They are known to worship variates of dark gods...including the sin lord.

Archviles are consider to be more dangerous then barons on average...their dark magic, their involvement with demonic religions and cults, and their skills of casting dark spells is what made them one of the most feared demons of all time.

Indeed, I remember one time I was playing DOOM and one of them pop up right in front of me, I almost fell off my chair...scary bastards they are.

I had that happen to me befor but i did hear the arch-vile befor i saw him and he was in my face when i opened the door so i shot him and run away cause i had like a group of imps and hellknights behind me. And i was playing with the burtal doom wad and was in a hard wad map so yeah i was runing around at top speed for that map from start to end.
