Attention: huge file.This is the Master (John Simm) and the Doctor (David Tennant) in Doctor Who - The Sound of Drums
It's a gift to my sister
As usual, excuse the photo quality, I tried my best (really!).
Graphites on paper, about 8 hours.

Well, right, that's very sad, but I think it was still a very good episode. I think it was a perfect goodbye episode for David Tennant

I only have a few things to say about this picture, one (and this completely subjective and based on what I personally like) is that your shadows could do with being darker,especially around the eyes and the iris' themselves, more contrast is generally a good idea when working in graphite, again that's just my opinion lol
Secondly, James Simm's face is bent, or looks to be, David Tennat's forehead is too long, and slanted slightly incorrectly I think, also the phone he is holding isn't straight, the bottom is at an angle to what we can see of the top, also the first finger you see on the left is bent around, his nail is at an odd angle.
Now that I've said that, your details are brilliant and I really like the concept (working on a Dr Who image since David Tennant's last appearance) and this is the first picture I have seen from those episodes, I love David Tennants hair and the way you've textured the clothes.

Concerning shadows and contrast, I think it's better on the original. But you might still be right - I'm very careful with the contrasts and maybe too careful.
What do you mean with Simm's face is bent? 
Am I right when I say that the finger looks bent because I drew the nail on the wrong place? I think it should be slightly more to the left.

It looks as if the face is tilted upwards and to the left from the end of the nose downward.
If the tip of his nose is pointing straight ahead then his filtrum and mouth should follow at the same angle, it doesn't seem to do that.
I don't know if this was done from reference so I may be wrong, it might just be his face and the angle of the shot.

It appears it is just his face, strange.
The distance between his nose and mouth is a little too long on your picture, only by a tiny bit though.
