Description The second in my triptych of exploring the figure with different methods of coloring. Looking at the first two, I've decided perhaps these will be based on characters. If you think you know which ones they are based on the title and the figure, let me know. I'll give you a cookie.

Figure referenced from ~Stocked-N-Loaded - [link]

Compressed charcoal and white charcoal on gray paper, about 20 X 25 inches

Epona, I'd say (but mostly judging from the title and hairdo here XD)

I gotta say you did an awesome job with all three of the figures, but this one has some sort of special appeal to me, don't ask me why. It's so very expressive!

You got it. I rather like this one also. There's something that attracts me about black and white and figures where the face is hidden or otherwise obscured.

This is a fabulous rendering of a nude figure! I've been experimenting with chalk and charcoal on colored paper very recently, and I admire your abilities.

Very lovely. It's very striking, and the muscles are clearly defined without making her look male. Nicely done!

Stunning job on it & it gives the feeling of a marble statue.

What a gorgeous anatomy study you've done here. You've captured the subtlety of the back muscles so well. The highlights just really make this pop right off the paper. It's a lovely image And I love that homage to Epona in the title.

Now if only I could do this without a reference. ;_; It almost feels like cheating with a model/reference.

Oddly enough, the model's hair is very Epona-esque. It went well.

I like the pose, too. It was completely by chance that I found ~Stocked-N-Loaded 's stock. They have lots of other awesome stock there, too!
