Birthday gift for , who has a birthday tomorrow! <3The background was not ment to look real. I wanted a dreamlike quality for this image, and I wanted to try improving on something white.
Hope I got the markings right

This looks very nice, I love the detail in all your work. About what canvas size do you usually start with? I'm assuming you draw big and resize it, yeah?

Actually, I start small ish (2000x1500) and do the sketch and block out the colors then I make it big and do the detail.

Its the back right, the reference photo had the paw hidden in snow, but thats the position they were in.
