Description “Out of all my years of commanding the rebellion I have to say I still fucking hate politics.”, Avalanche growled as she barged into her office the only place she seemed to ever have some sort relaxation. Dreq fallowed behind with his disapproving silence as always, swiping the screen beside the door with his tail causing it to shut. The room came alive with it’s eire blue glow as always.

“Discovery, tell me the most recent battle reports.”, Avalanche ordered the room. The AI became alive projecting the main hologram in the centre table of the room showing the world map.

The monotone robotic voice reported. “In the last 24 hours you have gained 726 meters in the Obsidian Gorges, lost 152 meters in the Starlit Spikes and nothing from Savano or any of the front lines, it seems they are experiencing signal difficulties.” The voice paused a moment. “Cerloru city has fallen under attack again estimation of 3400 civilian deaths.” Avalanche rubbed her temples, this is what I exactly need, she thought sarcastically.

“Report on soldier death toll today is still in progress.”, Discovery finished off.

“Well what do you suggest we do?”, Dreq asked bluntly, the old Eternal had gotten soo used to how he should act around Eternals like Avalanche he hardly seemed show emotion at all except anger and disappointment.

Avalanche sighed. “Bring down a standby battalion to Cerloru and we’ll wait for anything else.”, she answered. First I have to deal with a room of rich snobs for five hours and now this! Avalanche was still dealing with the snobs and how they panicked about the situation up at Skyfall mountains. You would think major investors in war and Eternals who ran hole cities would be a little more calm about a group of degenerates that somehow managed to get a squadron running with their tails between their legs. But nooo they just have to panic and say I have influence because two of them have some sort of tie with me!

“Understood, and how about this new situation?”, the general questioned standing square and straight as normal.

“If we decide to act on the problem we will only cause panic and make everyone believe we see them a massive threat, Crystalvision will do our job for us because I’m more sure she’s pissed.”, Avalanche answered. “So we just sit back and focus on the bigger problems.”

Dreq gave an unconvinced snort. “I advise eliminating the problem so it doesn’t recur, no matter how small, they are a threat to the rebellion.”

Avalanche growled, would you not fucking question me all the time?! “Making a massive deal out of it will solve nothing.” Dreq gave a disapproving look towards Avalanche.

“Are you serious that I care and want to keep them alive?”, Avalanche snarled. “Two of them are hybrids if I knew Crystalvision wasn’t going to kill them I would have dealt it myself!”

“But one of them is the hybrid you saved twenty years ago and the other is your nephew you let off easily!”, Dreq snapped back. “Eclipse should have been killed for the shit show he caused but your emotions got the better of you, clouded you judgment and now he’s becoming a problem again!”
Avalanche tried to mask her face to her neutral expression to hide the boiling rage. I’m commander, I’m better.

“You know I didn’t save that hybrid because I cared about it, I would be more then happy for it to just roll over and die!”, “One less infectious hybrid in the world!”, Avalanche exclaimed.

“The reason you did save is even more pitiful for a commander.”, Dreq snapped back. “And you let off Eclipse too easy everyone can fucking see it!”

“You were just jealous that he was going to be the next commander and not you!”, Avalanche shouted angrily.

“You put aside all his actions just because he was you prized little nephew, if it were any other Eternal they would be dead long ago!”, Dreq growled. Of course Avalanche was never going to admit to her general that she still cared about Eclipse after all he was basically her only heir (apart from a few others but none excelled like Eclipse did) she needed him alive for the future of the rebellion. The hybrid was Snowdrift’s and already seeing how much she had shattered once Avalanche got rid of the defective Eternal that was the hybrid’s father. Avalanche decided to save it in hope Snowdrift would give her a chance, she would deal with one hybrid if it meant she could be with Snowdrift. But of course the plan didn’t work and Dreq had to remind Avalanche every single day. And he also had to go on and on about how she didn’t have Eclipse executed.

“How dare you speak to your commander like that.”, Avalanche spat, she knew she could normally win this argument.

Dreq growled. “I’ll speak to the commander like this when they are being a shithead and could be risking the entire rebellion!”, he snarled.

“I suggest you watch your tongue.”, Avalanche snapped back.

“Or what?”, Dreq growled. “You going to put me into a cryogenic sleep and use my magic like a battery until I die?”

“Oh don’t you dare start that, you helped supervise that just as much as me!”, Avalanche shouted. “Don’t you dare lecture me in morality when you’re most known for slaughtering thousands.”

“And you use hundreds of Eternals as a power source, Eternals that trusted and had faith in you.”, Dreq pointed out angrily. “At least I don’t kill my allies.” Both Avalanche and Dreq stared down at each other in the blue light as their frosty atmosphere became colder. Dreq finally stood up even taller over Avalanche, his sign of him giving up the argument.

The massive Eternal stomped his way to the door angrily but before he left Dreq turned his head back to Avalanche. “Your performance has been crumbling over the last twenty years Avalanche, either you get your act together and start putting the rebellion first or you think about resigning.”, he advised. “For the sake of everyone.”
