Description Caecus Lacerta
The first blind snapper was a completely surprising discovery three weeks into my stay. It was somehow able to ambush with no warning, and appears to be alone. Despite the specimen's large size it seems more curious than hungry towards me, and its movements are semi-intelligent, like that of a dolphin. With stumpy forepaws only useful for digging, the snapper's long tail is prehensile enough for minute tasks, such as picking at it's omnivorous diet of plants, fruits and smaller animals. Though a loner the beast is extremely social, and makes all varieties of sounds towards me while I work outside the shuttle. Perhaps abandoned from a larger group, it sleeps nearby during the night so it may follow me the next day. I've decided to nickname this individual Stray.
