Description
This is Hamlet, another permanent resident of our local wildlife rescue center. He is a barred owl; the vet who looked after him before he came here acclimated him too much to humans, and now he thinks he is one. When he first arrived, last year, whenever he saw a human he made a mewling 'give me food' sound. He's gotten a much broader vocal range since, and I actually had several conversations with him, hooting back and forth. I hope to get video of that eventually.
