My personal pet theory is that at least some of the bitter thoughts Zoruru harbor toward Dororo are founded in childhood events, perhaps like this. Or maybe little Zoruru just stalked Zeroro out of admiration or something and naturally was never noticed. And that made little Zoruru sad. And then bitter. And then he grew up into a cranky, pissed off adult. Wheee!
I don't know how Chibi Zoruru ended up all shiny and silvery, but I kinda like it.

in the manga, they show why Zoru-san hates Doro-kun.
its the first day of school, and chibi Zeroro is thinking that he wont make any friends. When someone calls him, he turns to find chibi Keroro smiling at him.
"I'm Keroro. What's ur name?"
"O-oh! I-I'm Zeroro!" as Zeroro runs toward Keroro, we see chibi Zoruru standing behind him, watching him make a new friend.
so, basically, i think he's just pissed that Keroro spotted Dororo and not him.

...That's ADORABLE. I love their expressions and Zeroro's position. I must hug the tadpoles.
