this is ADORABLE
although i'd like to recommend Watercolor pencils for doing lighting like this ^^ watercolor pencils would allow you to use a paintbrush and water to go over it making the shading more even

really? hmmm well, thanks much! I'll have to try it sometime..I've worked with watercolor my best being [link] but I haven't done too much with it. I haven't gotten too dark on my colors either, but thanks! I'll try it sometime!
