All to herself
So many things to think about
The books have packed the shelf
The dust is so heavy
Pages hold memories
To read, she is ready
She picks up the book
Of when she was five
Reading the pages,
Those years come alive
She reads about laughing
Hugging and such
Remembering all
So close she can touch
Father’s home from work
She runs to the door
Hugging her daddy
He lifts her off the floor
She pauses at her reading
Tears drown her eyes
Knowing that these memories
Are no longer alive
Her tears stain the pages
Of the book in hand
As she thinks about the changes
Of him... a different man
One she doesn’t know
That causes so much pain
She try’s to forget him
But in her mind is his name
The author, her mind
Begins to write a book
She knows what it’s about
She doesn't bother to look
Back in her reality
She cries herself to sleep
Her mind fills up with memories
That she doesn't wish to keep
She finds a way to rid it
A way to rid it all
As she pulls the trigger
All the books fall
Awaken from her dream
She thought she was dead
But she doesn't have the strength
To put a gun to her own head
As she sits up crying
In the starting of day
She is deep in depression
Has nothing to say
Her choice is to live
As nothing at all
An invisible girl
Wasted space... so small
