Originally this was supposed to be an animation that and I were working on to announce the birth of Leander. Unfortunately I messed it up. A lot. Apparently there's a lot more to the whole "frames per second" thing then the speed of an animation.....

So this is a fake(ish?) screen shot of the animation.

And yes that is Ama humming.

No she hasn't gotten over her PTSD nor can she speak yet, she's always been able to hum and make noises. She's funny that way.

ANYWAY!!

GO CHECK OUT LEANDER!! HE'S THE CUTEST THING TO EVER WALK THE EARTH!!

SOOOO as it is by now well known, Ama had a cub.

The cub is indeed Alex's and was a sort of accident brought on by people.

Humans had wanted to us Ama as a breeder due to her temperament and beauty and originally had played with the idea of matching her with a male snow leopard. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, they decided against it in favor for a rising star in the arena, the chocolate colored, three legged tiger Alex. They tried a few times normally, simply putting the two together, but this ended in Ama simply cuddling up next to her best friend and pillar of strength. So the humans decided that they should try another method.

Using drugs and allowing the tiger to be beaten half to death in the arena the then introduced him to the snow leopardess. Acting on instinct with the encouragement of the drug, things happened. Afterwards it all seemed like a horrible nightmare to the tiger and Ama, embarrassed and terrified, refused to bring it up to him, hoping that nothing would come of it.

Not long after that Alex escaped with Avita without ever knowing what he had done or for sure who he had done it to.

Ama then had Leander in the pits after her empire mates left. She's been terrified as to what will happen when she introduces him to their empire, especially to Silent, the snow leopard she loves.
