The park close to where I work didn't clean there leaves........and all the new growth is popping up.........! I like this ...........at times...........and this one just caught my eye.............!

The leaves make great ground cover and will have protected the living plants through all the snow. They will all find their way out into the light.
Thanks for sharing you lovely photos Lois. Nothing like the mental images I had of New York and the surrounding area.
My daughter and eldest grandson have been my first husband was Irish/American, Ali has been to see relatives in Buffalo and friends in New York. I have all the photos they took.
The dried leaves look much better than muddy soil.
