‘Wards off furious D/S fans with a computer chair.’ Hey, don’t start on me, okay?! This was ’s request, I was just delivering through! At any rate, I’ve probably totally made Paulina’s Christmas with this piece. And maybe Danny’s too… ‘eyes D/S fans warily.’ Erm… maybe?
This is the first of the three mistletoe-centered requests I received, though ironically enough it’s the only one that actually called for kissing.
A lot of people seem surprised that I like this pairing, but I guess that’s something that can’t be helped. I’ve always had a soft spot of whimsical dreamers, and Paulina’s probably the closest thing to that in DP. Not to mention my love of complexity and my need to psychoanalyze every DP character to death. (Jazz and I would get along fabulously if we ever had the chance to meet. )(I seriously apologize for winterizing so many characters. It’s just too fun!

Well, people aren't that two dementional in real life, and there were signs that she had some interesting traits as well. She was shown to have insecurities about her looks, and her place in the school, she's shown concern for people other then herself, like Danny and her parents and even put herself at risk to help save them, she's shown at least some level of smarts, being one of the only characters to realize there's a connection between Danny and Phantom without knowing the full truth... I think there is a lot we could have found out about Paulina if the storyline had gone further into her character.

ohh i see, so thats you meant. yeah, but i never liked paulina even when i knew she liked danny phantom, even when she loved him when she knew the truth she didnt even love him for who he was, and she didnt care that sam still liked danny, which made me hate her more.

True, but Sam can be just as nasty and mean to Paulina as Paulina is to her. In fact, a lot of fans have lamented to me about how hypocritical Sam is about a lot of things, especially in reguards to Paulina. But we see Sam's side of the story more, and we know Sam better, which is why she's infinitely more popular then Paulina.

exactly, im not saying characters should be perfect, but just saying, sam is nice, yet selfish, too. trixie tang from FOP is 1000 times better than paulina and they're nothing a like, too bad we see people claim they are same. and yeah, sam is more popular than paulina, which is actually better.

Well actually, that's exactly my point. We saw more of Trixie's character then we did with Paulina, which humanized her and made us sympathize a little more with her. We saw that she liked comic books, and that she really admired Timmy for being honest and standing up to the cool kids, because there have been more episodes of FoP and they explored her character more. They didn't really do that with Paulina, which is kind of a missed opportunity to me.

i dont like paulina, no, I HATE HER, and im glad trixie is not like a ugly shallow witch, i dont even want paulina to be like trixie since she thinks herself so cool and great, which she's not.

I don't nesecarily love this pairing (Though I don't dislike it), as much as I like to see less used pairings done well. And you're one of the few author/artists I've seen do this.

oh cool! It's the same thing with me. I've had this "soft spot" for D/P since the very beggining. People think I'm weird and that I should be despising her like the rest of the Danny Phantom fans, but for some reason...I just can't DESPISE her. It's not in my nature to despise people.
But anyways, great pic! Paulina looks like she's enjoying herself...a lot. And may be Danny too.

Precisely. I was actually annoyed recently when I went to TV.com and saw DCMH rated higher then FWD, merely because of pairings rather then the actually episodes.
Personally, I like FWD much more then DCMH because FWD actually kept everyone in character and true to the storyline, and the emotions were a little more 'real' there. Plus DCMH turned Sam into a hypocrite and made Tucker look like a pretty bad friend, which greatly upset me...
