Inspiration:

I had the idea for this OC while working at my holiday job last December. Our group had finished our work, and were waiting for the nod to start on another project.
I was bored out of my mind (my co-workers are significantly older, and I find it hard to hold a conversation with people who only ever talk about children), so I found an old elastic band and stretched it over a plastic tub. I started tugging at it, watching the oscillations and thinking about how I had studied them the year before. (Science lesson! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vibratin… )
*Ahem* Anyways, I liked the sound of it, so I started tapping the bucket while plucking the rubber band, making various beats. I was seriously enjoying myself, and I remembered drumming on my desk while waiting for class to start back in high school.
IDEA!!!!!

After thinking a lot about his personality and colour scheme, I did a quick vector adaptation as a draft and really liked what turned out.
So I committed to doing a full vector of him, and here it is!

Name: Scrapyard Symphony
Gender: Stallion
Species: Unicorn
Cutie Mark: A stick and spoon over a pot
Job/Occupation: Street performer
Interests/Hobbies: Music, the environment, nature
Personality: Scrapyard Symphony is a daydreamer, and very open towards and trusting of other ponies. He is never seen without his hat (hey, a pony has to have an instrument on him!). Scrapyard is often lost in thought, and tends to be hard of hearing (he should really remove his headwear when he uses it to perform). His talent is using old unwanted objects to play music with. He is very difficult to anger, with the exception of ponies who bring harm to the environment.
