Oh, I stopped even pretending to time myself. All I can say is that it was spaced out over the course of 3 days. The minute I got the idea...I took note of it and went back to bed....but the day after, I got right to work and was rather absorbed by it for hours.

This is nice. However, since the mirror is cracked, there should be pieces that are tilted (for lack of a better word.) This would change the color and the image

I know what you mean, each shard should have a different angle of refraction, though I wasn't sure how to get that effect with the method I used to make the image. Still, thanks for the constructive criticism.

Personally I think it's better this way. A refracted image might be more accurate to the title, but it would probably end up looking like a chaotic mess.
It still works conceptually as is, like an image printed on a glass plate, but then broken allowing pieces to fall away revealing a second image underneath. Though of course which is the shattered top frame and which the hidden bottom one is open to individual interpretation.
