Description
I was given the idea for this one in my Bible Studies class. We were talking about Yin and Yang and what they would be like personified, and this led to the discussion of which side they would be on if they were in Star Wars. I was inspired to actually build the characters, and was exceedingly excited to work with this concept!

Yang, the man, would definitely be born and bred in the Rebel Alliance, as adventurous as possible. Yang is a rugged and loud person, eager to fight. When fighting, he relies on his impulses, brute, and brawn to pull himself through. This almost always works, which also leads to his pride in himself and his fighting abilities. He is a bright person, which is why I chose yellow as a focus color.

Yin, the woman, was actually a little more complicated to find. She is small, cold, and subtle, but equally as rough. Yin is like the hidden storm. She finds her opponents weakness, and then strikes. Yin excels in taking all of her surroundings into consideration before making a clear and precise move. Her strategic ways have earned her her spot in the Galactic Empire as an Imperial commander. Although not easily brought out, she has a very bad temper, which causes others to shy away from her. Yin is known as a cool person, in terms of color, which is why I chose blue.

The way I see it, these two would meet in battle, and sooner or later be forced to join forces in order to defeat the enemy in the final battle. What do you guys think? let me know in the comments below! I'd love to hear your ideas of the stories of how these two meet!

I worked on this picture in bits and pieces over the course of around three weeks, focusing on one part at a time. I really enjoyed messing around and figuring out the rigging for the glow of the sabers and the light bouncing all over the room, along with working with the shadowing. Overall, a great experience!
