Hello, friend, and Happy New Year! I'm here for this year's Critmas , spreading happiness through constructive, positive commenting! I found this piece because, well, you found me! XD I like your clean art and I decided to review this piece.
The color of the eyes is what first caught my attention. They stand out well against the dark colors of his fur and especially against the purple background. Good color choices to bring the focal point into his eyes! I also really like how fluffy and furry his neck looks.
I wish the character had shading on his body, like the background does. The flat colors are nice, but being able to see the depth of his fur through shading would've been lovely. Speaking of the shading on the wall, I believe it's too dark and staturated; the colors get confused with his dark, saturated fur, making the details get a little muddled. More on the background, I think it would've done this piece good had you made the purple a little less bright, to differentiate it further from the character.
Finally, I believe including a little texture to the fur to make it look more like fur (through a combination of shading and lighting techniques, or brushes, or whatever method you prefer). The saturated fur does make it difficult to see detail; you'll just need to find a good balance.
Still, I like the simple character design and I really dig his cute smirk. The anatomy is great and, overall, this is a well-drawn piece! Great work on it!
