Its Latin for Art is long, life is short: Ars Longa, vita brevis
and on the wings Latin for Voice: Vox

Its really thick wire that I hammered down, filed and engraved. Its some sort of aluminum compound.

No offense but you'll have more success if you DON'T tell people not to copy your work.... There's a LOT of 'Bored' people out there nowadays who would do the opposite, just because....

No matter HOW MUCH you would like this idea and design to be yours, it has been done before in some form or another. It may not have been 'replicated' but definitely surpassed the 'Gray Line' of what is considered 'Copy-right Infringement in your own Country. In part, this is why you CANNOT apply 'definitive' COPYRIGHT to an idea or thought to what ultimately translates into an 'object' or piece otherwise known as 'Art'. If COPYRIGHT DID in fact apply this way, it would be you who would most LIKELY be the person who committed the 'Copyright Infringement'.

A handwritten story, or hand-drawn picture or painting would likely be a better example of 'Initial and/or Immediate Copyright'.

BTW, that's a NICE PIECE of Work... Steel or Silver ?

Cheers,

/J...

Thanks. Its steel btw. The only reason i said that the work should not be copied is due to the condition that this piece is being submitted for an official examination and it is their request that I do so if I'm posting the piece

Gotcha' Funny how people are always telling us what to do eh?

BTW, did you fill in the 'wire' by using a MIG or TIG?

Cheers,

/J...

Too true. lol The metal was soft and pliable enough that at that thickness that I could run another tempered wire through it to engrave the words.
