I'm going to try to do #Inktober this year, so let's see how badly I fail at this. I'm already dangerously close to midnight, depending on your timezone.

The prompt for day one was #swift . When I think of swift, my first thoughts are of Taylor Swift and racehorses. I can't draw either of those. But what's faster than Secretariat and Taylor's recent rap? The wind. Duh. Here's an abstract wind that could have been done better, but it's late and I'm drained.

I actually touched it up a lot from the first edition, but there are still obvious places for improvement. Well, we'll try again with tomorrow's prompt, #divided .

I'm not an ink artist in any since of the word, I mean, I've just gotten comfortable with pencil work. But hopefully I'll learn something. Like, I figured out how to abstractly cheat at drawing maple leaves tonight. See!

The song at the bottom is Kansas' Dust in the Wind, which I thought fitting. I love quotes, so probably all my drawings for Inktober will have them.
