I always have been fascinated by the subarmor (the Masho version is SO much better than the troopers if you ask me). It's also rare to find any pictures of the masho drawn in them as most are either of their actual armor, ordinary clothing, or tradition garb. So here is Yamanouchi Naotoki as Naaza in his subarmor. Perhaps he has been training as he has the swords and the hakama on.I decided to go with the white for the hakama in honour of the great Tachibana Kaimu sensei's art which shows the masho in such.

I need to get into a super YST mood again to draw more of this, but I definitely would love to do some more of him once I'm in that mindset. . . maybe I need to re-watch the series.

If you don't own the series on hard copy, I suggest going to kissanime.com . They have the original series, OVA, and Message in the English and Japanese dub with English subs. Helped kick my butt back into gear to work on a few sketches.

I have to admit the Warlord's/Masho's subarmor is quite facinating. It's basically the same subarmor that the ronins wear, but with darker color schemes. But still, I can't help but admire the magnificence of the design. In my point of view, it kind of resembles robotic mech armor because of the articulation and fanciness. I always assumed that it was all metal, but somehow allows the wearer to move about freely. Impressive work here by the way. Very well done.

Very cool! Sekhmet's my favorite warlord so I like seeing artwork of him by other people. Nicely done! I like the blend of the actual subgear, and the traditional garb.

ack thank you so much! Your art is the awesome though!! I'm a huge fan of Tachibana so I take a lot on her and Mizuki Ken for inspiration and hair positioning lol. I need to get more artbooks.. all I have right now is Nothing.. I need Sarisa and Cotton Color T_T. Naaza lovers unite! (By the way I LOVE that you have all those extensive notes on him.. it's always good to have authors who do their research.. and that stuff is way interesting to know!)

*blush blush* Thanks! I'm a history major and I'm REALLY interested in the Middle Ages, so I've been having a field day with all my research. My advisor/mentor (who's a Medieval and gender historian) have actually gotten together a few times to discuss things I've been working on. I'm such a nerd!

I also read Tangled and thought it quite well written. Maybe I should try my hand at fanfiction now that I can spell and use grammar..(unlike when I was 15 and used to write it lol). I usually stay away from it because I don't like to bite the cannons too badly and add in characters but since I do RP stuff I usually end up having to. We have a hugely complex story that I have been itching to write but I always fear the deathly Mary Sue.
Yeah we should do the fanclub thing. Kilderok was saying that same thing.. three members so far in that case!

I'm slowly working on more of Tangled. That story is disagreeable and does as it wants, so who knows when it will be finished 9_9 I worry a bit about being out of character and misinterpretting the actualities of things as well, but most readers generally don't freak out about it. I've been posting fanfics various places for about five or six years now and have only had one person complain I didn't follow the cannon of something.
A fanclub needs to exist. Naaza m teh awesome, after all.
