Your piece is simplistic but good. We can see in the calm atmosphere in the composition of the scene.
Yet I'm wondering, why is your color so dull? Wouldn't it be better with a little more saturation? Maybe not for all color, but at least for the blue, there it seem your sky is from a very polluted city.

I used the 90's show as a reference for the background, but I'll admit I should've bumped on the saturation.

I see, that explain it. It was a good idea in theory ^^ Maybe there is a way to emphatize it more? Faking image grain or something?
It's true in 90's they were still using cel animation. In my POV older show seem to have unique color palet and 90's one don't seem to be as reconizable. I wonder if it's because it is still too close from us?Β
