Description Andromeda/Sha'lith

For fun I started writing a conversation - THE Conversation - between immortal Mayan, Ysabel Arroyo , and Zenobia , exiled Princess of Hell, about Zen frequently using Ysabel as inspiration for her extremely twisted fantasy horror erotic fiction. The way this conversation is set up it's at a point where Ysabel and Zen have worked together, been through a lot, and become comfortable with each other, even friends. This is remarkable because Ysabel avoids nonhumans like the plague and can count on one hand the number who have earned her trust and friendship over the centuries. But as much as Ysabel likes the moody, video game-obsessed devil girl, she still wants to know why Zen chose to model a character like Andromeda after her. Also, why does Andromeda have a brown, rather than coppery complexion if Ysabel is the inspiration? And are there are any other characters Zen has based on Ysabel?

The "why" is complicated and takes some explaining, but the skin color answer is simple: Zen dislikes the sun, being an underground creature originally, and has been sunburned badly a few times after coming to the surface, so she's a little jealous, wishes she could at least tan. She picked the brown skin tones over reddish because of someone else she works with: Layla Aschenbrand (who is also Ysabel's distant ancestor/relative). Zen just went a little darker even than Layla with it, figuring it made more sense for the whole fantasy setting having a vaguely Egyptian/North African/Ancient Near East/India feel to it - although its supposed to be another world entirely.

As to other characters, well, Zen confesses to at least two, both of which are... blonde-haired, blue-eyed, and pale?

"I got this idea one night to mix up you and Marilyn Monroe and that became my default blonde girl."

EDIT: I gave this a mature content tag not because I think it needs it - everything that's supposed to be covered is covered - but I'm sure someone will get bent out of shape over a computer-generated woman's nipples being covered-but-still-kinda-visible.

EDIT 2: If there's anything shocking here its that my impulsive shader idea turned her outfit into a living creature, one of Andromeda's various adventuring details, with it's "mouth" being the side that's against her skin. Always liked that living armor idea which is why I've looked for other places to use it. But, no, before you try making the connection I'm not really a fan of Venom. I like the symbiont concept and would have preferred to see it used elsewhere, but that whole storyline with Eddie Brock was after my time and didn't interest me.

EDIT 3: Update!  I decided to give this image as much attention to detail as Part II . Her surroundings have been completely redone to reflect her affiliation with monsters and creepy-crawlies. It also occured to me that there should be some outward sign of the changes to Sha'lith, even if its just giving her a heated or "smoldering" eye color. She was after all sacrificed to an old, monstrous god-like thing and wasn't spit back out until it was done uploading the memories of her ancestors (all the ones it had devoured over the millennia) and making alterations to her on a cellular level.

Thank you. I'd love to do more with Andromeda, but it's difficult to figure out what kind of scenes that she'd be in are "safe" for DeviantArt.

Thank you.

Wish I could say that using Parasite X (and its freebie add-on) and the Eldritch Altar was planned, but... Have you ever seen The Last Unicorn? This was pretty much a Schmendrick moment, like the one where he makes the tree come come to life, doing something at random out of frustration and it worked. Sort of.

Haha fair enough.

The Last unicorn does ring bells!
Was it an anime?

It's from 1982, a Rankin-Bass cartoon movie based on Peter S. Beagle's novel - both favorites from my childhood. The Dark Crystal also came out in '82, so that was a really good year.

I think I saw it on VHS a long time ago but can barely remember it lol!

Dark Crystal is a fantastic movie!

Definitely worth watching again if you get a chance. If you can enjoy playing a gnome in Warcraft you'll probably like The Last Unicorn. And I agree wholeheartedly: The Dark Crystal is fantastic.
