There was a very tall, beautiful evergreen tree right next to the highway that goes through our town. Lots of people signed a petition to save it when a company bought the lot the tree was on and planned to build a "dollar store" there (these stores sell cheaply made products usually costing $1 each). After putting in the cement slab on which the building would sit, the company went bankrupt and shut down, leaving the tree alone. A couple years later, another company bought the land and removed the slab so they could start over with their own "dollar store" facing a different direction. Very early one morning, just last week, the new owner had the tree cut down. Not only are the residents sad, but they're very angry over such an unnecessary killing of the tree, which wasn't in the way of anything. I hope "your" tree will survive such people with no compassion towards living things. At least your tree is not in the way of a building project

This is a sad story Marilyn......The lack of respect toward GOD's Creation is seen every where.Trees suffer in silence, and are treated with no respect.
