No offence since i know the armor is from the actual mlp but the design is still god awful.
Your art is awesome though.

I don't take offense to opinions, so no worries.
I've actually regretted drawing her in this armor. Any armor that's on display in a castle hallway is for display and not battle. Real Equestrian knights of her rank would wear something unique, too. But I was going through a phase where everything had to be "show accurate."
Was it the color of the armor in the show that gave you a distaste for it? Genuinely curious

Well any armor that would be "on display" would be based on the same design principles as the armor used for battle. would it not ?
I think it's horribly designed because it's just horribly unpractical and would make it practically impossible to move in it.

Considering it's from a cartoon, I don't think you can use appearances to say it's horribly impractical and impossible to move in. Ponies don't even move like us, plus the parts that would be chainmail wouldn't be drawn as chainmail in the show.
But yeah, display armor for castle hallways would be horribly impractical and hard to move in. lol

To you, yes. But the legs are basically just this: www.wulflund.com/img/goods/en/…
And the rest is properly segmented to allow for a pony to move in it. Except for the neck. That stiff neck is so stupid for ponies.

I know how armor works, but it STILL looks wrong.
The neck is only one of the problems, even though its basicaly fixed in one place.
The torso part is just looks like a big pipe so turning would be a hard too.
About those wierd boots I can only say "ughhh _-_"
You said that the armor isnt supposed to be designed for people, but it sure does look like it is.

Some of the anatomy is a tad funky, but an overall solid piece.
Always liked her story. She reminds me of the tragic characters of old, heroes of noble birth who eventually crash and burn either through their own devices, or pure circumstance. Though, her story's not over yet.

Does this picture means that there is still chance for the story to be continued ?

Put it to you this way: when I asked CouchCrusader on twitter if old abandoned fanfics could be resubmitted through EQD's new fanfic submission system, he said "Do it!"
It's been a long and painful road. :/

Speaking honestly here, this is my favorite piece you've done. At least, in black and white. And about ponies. Or... well... maybe in general. Who knows. Either way, I like it. This character in particular feels suited to this scene, this pose; the determined set of the eyes and face, that casual helmet clutch, the worn spear set aside for the time being, in arm's reach. It's picturesque, and not just because it's a picture. Gallant may be my favorite of your MLP creations, and this is the art she deserved, I feel. Now if we could just get it colored...
