Chapter 8
More duels and Paige?

When Bakura made it to his room he found Heather seething. Her duel disk had been hurtled at one of the walls. It was a miracle that it was unharmed. The deck was in her hands, as she was looking through it. But that did not seem to calm down.
“Gahhhh” Heather yelled, slamming her deck on the table, causing the tomb robber the jump.
Heather pulled herself out of her seat and started pacing the room. Close to an hour later, Heather finally calmed down. Joey had duel Odeon and the evil Marik had been freed.
“Damn, I’m too late” Heather growled, when the evil spirit was freed.

“I should have been able to stop it” Heather yelled. Paige had woken up earlier and had been explained about what had happened. She was now covering her ears, in an attempt to protect them from Heather’s yelling.
“Heather you can’t always prevent things from happening” Paige told Heather, not know that they could be listened in on.
“But why did they think I was evil just because I had a Millennium Item” Heather growled “Now they all hate me”.
“No they don’t hate you……” Paige started, but was then cut off by Heather.
“Yes they do, and you know it” Heather yelled.
Paige hung her head, defeated, she knew that Heather now won’t change her mind.
And now Heather could be easily manipulated by anyone.

Marik listened in on what Heather and Paige were talking about. He grinned; he now knew how to get Heather onto his side. He used his Millennium Rod to contact Bakura.
‘I know how to turn her over to our side’ Marik told Bakura ‘That’s if you don’t want her to be alive’.
He sensed that Bakura froze.
‘What do I have to do?’ Bakura asked him.
‘Make her think that we can be trusted, and that the Pharaoh will be sending her to the shadow realm just because she has a Millennium Item and that the only way to avoid that is to team up with you’ he told Bakura.
Bakura had no choice, he knew that, if he refused, Marik would kill Heather.
‘Fine’ he growled.
Marik had gone by the time that Bakura had gotten to Heather and Paige’s room. He knocked on the door, which was answered by Paige, because Heather had just calmed down, and Paige did not her to get fired up again.
“Hi Bakura” Paige said in her usually friendly voice, Bakura was know unsure whether this girl knew how dangerous he could be. But she was a friend of Heather, so he decided to let it slide.
“I wanted to see if Heather was ok” Bakura said, imitating his host’s voice perfectly, so not to make Paige suspicious, since she was a friend of the pharaoh and could tell him what was going on.
“Oh, sure, come in” was all that Paige said.
When Bakura entered the room he noticed that Heather looked calm, yet angry at the same time. He sat next to her, unsure of what to say, he knew at this time that anything that he said could send her into a rage, like placing a flammable liquid onto an already large fire.
Paige had left the room, most likely to give her friend some space, and let off the remaining steam that she was holding.
Minutes passed as the silence continued.
“Why are you here?” Heather asked, finally getting sick of the silence “and don’t pretend to be the real Bakura, because I can sense your aura”.
Bakura looked at Heather surprised, she could tell difference between him and his host by their aura.
“If I’m going to talk to you, you’d have to have a different name” Heather said. Bakura opened his mouth to say that he did not want people knowing his name, but he was interrupted by Heather.
“I don’t want to hear the ‘I don’t want people knowing my name’ excuse” Heather told him. Bakura sighed, she was not going to back down.
(Host) Bakura said.
((Yes?)) The real Bakura said, confused on what was going on. The Tomb thief quickly told him what Heather had said.
(So she’s not backing down) Bakura laughed, but the Tomb thief’s growling stopped him.
The silence continued, minutes later and Heather once again was getting sick of it.
“Fine, don’t tell me your name” Heather growled “why should I care”.
Heather got up and was about to leave, when…..
“Heather” Bakura said “I need to tell you something”

Paige was heading to Yugi’s room, when Marik appeared in front of her. Paige stopped walking, and then turned around to head back to Heather’s room, but was stop by Marik.
“I have something I’d like to tell you”

“What” was all that Heather could say, after what Bakura had told her.
Bakura could not believe that he was lying to the person that he wanted to be trusted by.
‘It’s for her own good’ he thought to himself.
“I’ve got to tell Paige” Heather said, taking off before TR Bakura could stop her.
Heather bolted down the hallways of the blimp, looking for Paige, a dreaded feeling building up inside. When she was about to give up, she turned the corner and started to sense the evil aura coming from Marik. She turned to leave then she sensed Paige’s aura coming from Marik’s room.
‘Why would she be in there?’ Heather thought to herself.
With the help of Mystic Wolf, she forced the door to open and ran into Marik’s room.
“Well, I have a feeling that you would come sooner or later” Marik said, with a grin on his face.
“Like I care what think” Heather growled, holding the Millennium Bow ready just incase he did anything.
“I don’t think that would be wise” Marik said, starting to walk up to her. Heather raised the Millennium Bow up to prove she wasn’t kidding.
“Where’s Paige, I know she’s here” Heather demanded
“Right here” Marik replied, taking a step sideways, reveling Paige with a blank look on her face.
There was no need in explaining of what had happened, Heather knew that Marik had her friend under his control.
Paige walked in front of Marik and into the Millennium Bow’s line of fire. Heather lowered the Millennium item down not wanting to harm her friend.
Marik grinned evilly.
“I knew that you would not harm this girl, now to punish you for messing up my earlier plans” Marik told her, both him and Paige stepping forward “And don’t worry I’ll take good care of your friend”.
That was the last thing that Heather remember, after that pain over took her body and she blacked out, dropping the Millennium Bow.

Ishizu sensed that something was wrong, her Millennium Necklace was telling her so. She went out her room and headed down the hallway, wondering what was going on. A few minutes of wandering, Ishizu finally got to where the Millennium Necklace was leading her. What was there on the ground shocked her.
The girl that she had seen during the beginning of the finals, cuts and bruises all over her arms and legs and her hands looked badly burnt.
‘What happened?’ was the first thing that went through Ishizu mind.
Picking the girl up, she head back and headed to the medical room.
