Description Chapter 1
“What were we doing again?” A voice asked to a silver wolf. The silver wolf sighed and looked at her younger sibling, who was grey instead of silver.
“Were looking for a wolf named Kiba, so we can join him on his search for paradise, do I have to keep on telling you that over and over again, because it starting to drive me mad” The silver wolf told her sibling.
“I know Lora, but….” Replied the grey wolf stopping to think what she was going to say to her older sister, so she would not upset her. Their parents have always being going to one place to another trying to find paradise and Lora had thought that it would be the best place for them to stay ever since their parents had been killed by a hunter who hated wolves and thought they were killers.
“But what, Nara?” Lora asked, her hackles raising showing white teeth, which could be lethal if used properly.
“Why are we looking for paradise, didn’t you say that you that you were happy about your life here” Nara asked Lora, backing away from her sister, knowing even though they were sibling, Lora would not be afraid to get into a fight with her. Nara looked down at her front right paw that had a scar on it, from her own sister when they had gotten into a fight. Nara was only pushing her, trying to see if she Lora would back down if she were to try and fight her own little sister, but she didn’t. Lora had dived at Nara front right paw and had bitten it with a great force for her young age, leaving her sister lipping for a week or longer. That had earnt a lot of respect from some wolves when they heard about it, but usually Lora kept to herself while Nara was more a group wolf liking to have a lot of friends and hated being alone.
“Well that was a long time ago, a lot has changed since then, and the humans made it well clear that we’re not wanted around here anymore, so that’s the only other place that we can live peacefully” Lora explained, looking at her sister with sadness in her eyes.
Lora had fallen in love with a human, but not long before Nara and her mum and dad were killed, she told the boy that she was a wolf and then he hated her and tried to kill her. That tore her heart right out of her chest and after that she hid her emotions from everyone even her own sister. Her sister didn’t mind any more thought, she had learnt to sense her sister’s emotions a different way.
“Sorry…it still just hard for me…you know” Nara whispered, trying to find the right words to explain what she was thinking. Lora sighed, knowing what her sister was going through.
“Ok, ok, I’m sorry, I’ve just been a little up tight” Lora told her sister. Nara looked up at Lora with complete happiness in her eyes. Lora refused to smile because that would mean showing emotion and she thought that would make her weak and vulnerable, which she didn’t want, due to what had happened the last time she did.
“Sis, can’t you smile, it won’t make you weak, and happiness can make you stronger you know?” Nara asked Lora. Lora just shook her head, even though her little sister had given her some wise words just then.
“Sorry” Lora told her sister “it’s just too late now”.
“It’s never too late sis, someone will change all of your pain. I just know it” Nara barked. Lora smile on the inside, the best thing about her sister was that she never gave up on her no matter what.
“Thanks” Lora muttered. Nara smiled knowing that she had made her sister happy.
“Well lets go and find who were looking for” Nara yipped. Lora sighed.
“His name is Kiba, why are you so forgetful” Lora told her sister.
The day went by and they a no success on find the wolf that they were looking for. Nara had been whining about how tired she was for at least two hours until Lora decided to stop for the night. She wanted to go on longer, but she knew that her sister couldn’t keep up for much longer and did not want to leave her behind with the chance of the hunter finding her alone. Lora shuddered at the thought of her sister being killed by the same hunter that killer her parents. Then images of her dead parents lying on the ground flashed through her mind. Lora then growled them away, she hated when that happens, the memories of her dead parents have been haunting her even since that day. Nara slept beside her sister, staying close for warmth trying to hide from the cold night. Lora did not mind, knowing that it was cold, even for herself.
Next morning Lora woke Nara up, after the complain pup woke up completely, they continued their search. Hours after their search start they saw a light coming from a cave.
“Hey maybe he’s in there” Nara suggested. Lora shook her head.
“No, it seems too easy” she muttered, but was too late because Nara was already heading towards the cave.
“Nara come back here, wait up” Lora yelled, running towards Nara, trying to keep up. Nara was already in the cave when Lora got inside.
“There’s no one here” Nara whimpered, placing her head between her paws.
“I had a feeling that would have been too easy” Lora said, trying not to upset her little sister, but again she was gone, now heading towards the strange light. Lora sight.
“Not again” she muttered to herself then yelled “WAIT UP”.
Lora found Nara once more, but this time staring at the strange yellow light that came from nowhere.
“Weird” Nara whisper, looking at the light, eyes wide.
“For once this day your right” Lora muttered, looking at the light.
Suddenly the light got brighter and brighter and then swallowed both Lora and Nara up.
Lora woke up to Nara shaking her awake.
‘Wait, shaking me awake’ Lora thought to herself ‘I must be in my human form’.
Lora was right, she was in her human form. Wearing baggy pant with pockets that she could put her hands in and a jumper that was a little too big for her. Her eyes were silver and her hair was white. Nara on the other hand looked like a normal human in her human for, brown hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a blue shirt and grey paints. Lora was the same height as her little sister and knew that Nara was only going to get taller, but the scar on her right hand was proof enough for her sister not to mess with her.
“Hey is your sister awake?” A boy asked Nara. Lora smelt the person’s scent.
‘A human’ Lora thought to herself, starting to growl inhumanly. Nara heard this and touch Lora’s hand telling her that they were only trying to help the, and to give them a chance. Lora snorted a fine.
“Yes, my sister’s awake Yugi” Nara called out to the boy that Lora had just heard. Lora picked herself up and walked over to where the group of humans were. Nara introduced her to all of them. Yugi was the one with the spiky multicoloured hair. Tai was the only girl in the group, she had short brown hair. Joey was the one with blond hair, and what Lora thought was the worst cocky attitude she had seen a human have. Tristan was the one that had brown hair and always seemed to be getting into a fight with Joey. And the last one Ryou was the one with white hair, he seemed quieter than the other hardly seeming to want to talk, which made Lora like him, a little.
“So how did you exactly get here?” Tea asked Lora. Lora just snorted at Tea, giving a look that said ‘like I’m going to tell you’.
“Hey it’s rude to treat people that way” Joey yelled, trying to intimidate Lora, which did not work.
“If you think you are intimidating, think again, I face bears that were scarier than you, and they never scared me” Lora said, glaring at Joey, making hi back down.
“Sorry about that, my sister’s been that way ever since our parents were killed” Nara told them.
“Killed? Killed by who?” Yugi asked.
“The hunter” Lora snarled at him. Yugi went down into a position that Lora knew was submission, she then smirked, satisfied that the boy knew his place, underneath an alpha, which with Nara and her was her due to her being able to face other animals down without fear, Lora had earnt it along time ago and refused to give up the position to anyone, even the more strongest of wolves, even if she had ton die fighting to keep it.
“Hey, leaving our friend alone” Tristan yelled at Lora, pouncing on her grabbing the collar of her jumper. That made Lora snap, she thought that he was trying to take her position as alpha. Nara knew this and her eyes widened, the last time that a wolf tried to take her position, that wolf was killed and Lora didn’t remove the blood from her muzzle for a week, showing that world that no one should challenge her. Seconds before Nara could stop her, Lora had forced Tristan onto the ground and had her foot on his windpipe, not to choke or to kill him, but only to frighten him into submission.
“Lora, leave him alone, he didn’t mean to challenge you like that” Nara cried. Lora ears picked up and then she walked away from Tristan and the rest of the group.
“What the hell is her problem?” Joey asked Nara.
“It’s been like that ever since…her boy friend” Nara whispered “She told him a secret that both of us carry and he tried to kill her, she’s been different ever since, and became cold and uncaring to everyone else but me cause I’m her younger sister and she says that she doesn’t want me to suffer ever”. After that Nara explain how they got there. The group got an idea of what Lora had gone through.
“But what do you mean when you said ‘I didn’t mean to challenge her like that’?” Tristan asked Nara. Nara sighed running her hand through her brown hair.
“Lora’s life is kinda like a wolf’s life, with me and her, she’s the alpha which makes her the leader of the group and when you grabbed her like that she thought that you were challenging her position, which made her snap, because she would die fight to keep herself the alpha of the group” Nara explained.
“That seems a bit harsh” Ryou said. Nara nodded.
“Yeah, but that’s the way she is, ever since she was little, I leant the hard way” Nara replied, showing them the scar on her right hand.
“How did you…” Yugi began to ask, but Nara stopped him.
“I kinda pushed my sister a bit too far that day” Nara explained. The whole group looked shocked. Joey was about to say something about Lora not being a proper sister.
“It was my own fault, Lora just that kind of person who wont back down from a fight, even with her own sibling” Nara told him, defending her sister.
“How can you defend her when she did that to you?” Joey asked, confused about why Nara would defend her sister that would attack her.
“Because she’s my sister and she’s protected me a lot more time than she’s attacked me, which was only once” Nara replied. Joey didn’t believe that could be true. Yugi seemed to know that Lora was only hurt in her heart and the only way on try and get rid of it was through anger and silence.
/Yami, something’s different about them, I’m sure of it/ Yugi told Yami, who was now standing beside him in his spirit form.
//I know, I sense some strange energy coming from them// Yami told him, looking at Nara, who was now comfortably to the others, while Lora sat away from everyone, glaring at them daring them to challenge her.
//She seems to want to get into a fight, she seems to be glaring at us every now and again// Yami told Yugi pointing over to the glaring Lora. Yugi looked up at Lora and her eyes became like daggers, Yugi shivered.
/She might be thinking that one of use might challenge her position as alpha/ Yugi told Yami. Yami looked at him confused and Yugi told him what Nara had told the group a little while ago. Yami nodded every now and again, showing that he understood what Yugi was telling him.
//She must of suffered a lot// Yami mussed to himself. Lora looked away and looked up at the moon, which was at its fullest. Her eyes began to droop and then she fell asleep looking at the full moon. Nara smiled and went over to her sister and laid by her side, then seconds later fell asleep also. They rest of the group looked at the two new comers, confused about what was going on,
“Maybe she does have a heart, somewhere in there” Yugi suggested. The others just shrugged it off.
Next morning, the group found that Lora had already gotten up. Her silver emotionless eyes scanned the surrounding area. When Nara woke up, Lora seemed to have spotted something and jumped of the tree that she was sitting in. Seconds later Nara followed behind.
