Just a quick sketch I did yesterday night...I've always loved rhythmic gymnastic, even though I never had the change to try it... and I never will, sadly.
Anyhow, Anna Bessonova is one of my fav gymnast, so I've got a few pictures of her lying around my computer.
This thing doesn't do her justice, but bear with me... I was sleepy! XD

Sono certa che se avessi speso più tempo su questo sketch avrebbe perso tutta la spontaneità e l'espressività che, nonostante una "sloppy execution", mi sembra possegga... C;

E' stupendo! Ed è proprio il fatto che le linee sia un po' "sporche" che dà l'idea dell'immediatezza e del dinamismo.

I think you captured the motion really well and I think that matters the most when drawing athletes. As a person who loves all kinds of sports I can appreciate pictures like this

I think I somehow managed to capture the motion only 'cause I didn't really try too hard to do it! C; I mean, I know it's only a sloppy sketch, but despite (or maybe because of) that, I think all the important stuff is there, if you know what I mean... C;
Anyway thanks again! Even though sports bully me, I really love some of them (ie rhythmic gymnastics! C; )

Well sometimes that helps too! It probably did help that you didn't try to fill out the pic full of stuff, so the essence of the movement stayed visible
