Description

For suricatessen , for all his hard work with making the English subtitles for the OVA episodes and just being overall very helpful and friendly.

When the brothers were happy, no?

Art belongs to me
Yugo and Adamaï belong to Ankama

Noooo the feels.... It's so good!

Can I just say, the OVAs made me so mad! I love Adamai so much, and he seemed really out of character in the last OVA. Like, I really didn't think Ankama would pull that since Yugo and Ad were so close, and they have Grougal and Chibi. I guess we'll just have to wait for season 3 (however hard that may be)

Adamaï wasn't the only one who seemed out of character but then six years did pass between season 2 and the OVAs. That's a long time and certain things can change someone. Who knows what happened or changed in that time frame... Still, Adamaï had his opinion and Yugo had another; they were bound to clash. Adamaï wanted to save the whole world by following lady Echo's advice while Yugo was solely focused on saving Tristepin while believing (hoping) that the world would be okay somehow, that he would be careful while underestimating the combined power of the Eliatrope Dofus.

I can't blame Adamaï for leaving. His opinion and the warnings he had given were blatantly ignored. He was accused of not caring for his friends while all he wanted was the world of Twelve to be safe as a whole and not be put in jeopardy by the Eliatrope Dofus. There was a risk he was warned about and he believed it to be true after some logical thinking. Nobody was considering what he had to say, they were all too busy with Tristepin's fate after the Tree of Life was safe for the time being. Adamaï even got badly attacked (the broken branch, just ouch) and had a weapon drawn on him, and that was all Yugo. I can totally emphasize with Adamaï as all that combined must have been quite a shocker for him. He left and witnessed what he had warned everyone about came true. If anyone would have listened and agreed with him, the devastation wouldn't have happened but no... It was a clusterfek. Nobody was thinking things through except for Adamaï and he got slack for it.

I do think that lady Echo's heritage played a large part in Adamaï's decisions and opinions. She's dragon offspring, she is draconic. Since Phaeris' death, there were no other (Eliatrope) dragons Adamaï could relate to or learn from. He questioned prince Brakmar during the Council of Twelve about doubting the word of a dragon, as if it were something sacred. With lady Echo freely (and without violence or retaliation) giving back the Dofus she claimed to keep safe to prevent devastation from happening to the world, there is a chance that Adamaï believed her because she is partially a dragon and because of his belief that 'a dragon's word is truth'.

Next year and the wait will be over.

While yes, it seem out of character for both of them, you have to know this. Both thing were at stake, Dally and the world. The Brotherhood already lost Dally in Season 1 and it nearly destroyed Eva. Plus, whether or not they even used the Dofus, the world was at stake by the Second Great Flood if Orgest wasn't stopped . I think the world would have far lesser damage if Adamai believed in Yugo and possible helped him better control the Dofus and have better strategist on using it instead of teleporting a mountain to space. Which, at the time seem like a great idea to avoid the floor, but still create meteors. This is mostly because Yugo never had this amount of power before or understanding of using it. Maybe if Adamai better advice him and not believe in a stranger words, it could work better.

However, Yugo is not without blame. He was so in rush to save Dally, he could not have waited. It was not just the world at stake, but his friend life as well. Like I said, it was the end of the world and people make bad choices during it. Like the soundtrack from Wonder Woman, We Are All At Fault. Maybe in Season 2, Yugo and Adamai would go under the most character development and become brothers again and put aside their differences.
