Would be something if Alys slipped aside 'Belle style' and let Fernand fall out of the window and into the mud o.o; But luckily for us, Fern isn't being a creep in this scene. (Is he ever...?) He simply needs to get a point across with the woman, and with good reason.

well then how did alys become the ambassador of....eleatropes?

Long story, that one. Let's see if I can keep it short-ish...
It starts out with Alys wanting to give the orphans in Emrub a future in the World of Twelve. While this was Yugo and Baltazar's plan all along, Yugo is (at that time) too young to get involved in politics and gain allies/support (he was thirteen then). Not to mention that he learned about being the king of the Eliatropes at that age as well. So to allow him to grow up/mature and get used to the idea that he is a king of hundreds of orphans, Alys takes it upon herself to become a representative of her people. She is, after all, the only (known) adult Eliatrope in the World of Twelve and with the rest of the Eliatropes being children, someone has to take responsibility. She was greatly inspired by Master Joris to walk that path.
After several years of hard work, and plenty of disappointment because the Eliatropes are not trusted by many, Alys is recognized as an ambassador by the Council of Twelve and granted a seat.

Thank you! I was really going for bringing across the tension that's present in this scene. Fernand doesn't trust Alys shortly after they meet and I don't blame him either because she isn't fully honest with him (with reason!). So, let's just say he got fed up.

Though by the look on Alys face I would almsot belive she did...Also something to add to the great collection of ''other use for zaap portals'', steal Frenand's snacks |D
But jokes aside, I must say it really reflects and shows what's happening in the book quite well Wish, I love it~ ^^b
