.:: To Dust ::.because nothing lasts foreverTaken in October 2012, this photo is nothing special but there's something about the leaves in the foreground and about the background tones that just wouldn't let me discard it. I find it romantic and peaceful and sort of feel lucky that I could still find soemthing like that to photograph in early October, so I decided I'd keep it and publish it. The title was inspired by the dusty look of the leaves. Shot in the evening, I postprocessed it to make the colours even softer ;3

It's not very often that I come to write critiques in any shape or form. However, when I saw this photograph, I knew I had to give a proper comment. The moment I opened this into a new Chrome tab I was hit with awestruck. The colours are strong and are filled with emotion. The pale colours reflect the rose, a rose of burning passion. I have seen these close-up shots quite often and feel that the originality in the photograph isn't very high. Although, given the angle and light source upon the rose, it sparks up a fantasy belief. Is that rose really a staff that hold a melting heart? It takes us into a new world, does it not? Overall, this photograph is very powerful within its frame. Grasp it tight, keep it close, and send us into a world of make-believe.
