Wow Katara better be feeling that sweat drop, poor jet. but what I don't understand is how he could die of that sort of blow to the stomach Zuko had that done to him like throughout the series? (with more than just earth! he had ice, water, earth, fire, air, feet.. & now they tell that it's life threatening!)

It is true but still it peeves me. hopefully Zuko has better lungs than Roku becuase you know toxic gas & such (plus that volcano exploding on him) but what ever let's hope Zuzu's a little more flame retardent (highly doubt it with his scar & all but you never know)

I'll just say that if I had been wearing a necklace for three months, I might have a hard time remembering that it contained special water and realizing that special water might be better for healing, both in less than two minutes while under battle stress. I also probably wouldn't feel too bad if an understandable mistake directly allowed me to save the world's last hope instead of the smooth talking bandit who I apparently dislike immensely for betraying my trust and trying to kill innocent people, even if he were interested in trying to be good now.
I don't mean to interpret the comic as more serious than it was intended, I just get tired of people who genuinely think that Katara is somehow a bad person for not saving Jet (or for not trusting Zuko, but that's another rant).

Well, apparently it wouldn't have worked anyway...she had to have a spiritual bond with the person, that was the special properties. It wasn't like healing water o' power or anything, it was just special healing water.

If you watch the commentary for Lake Laogai the creators say that the oasis water was spirit-connected, so it wouldn't have worked on Jet or Zuko. *Shrug*

...why not? I figured that with Jet, it was an internal injury...probably a big mess inside his body, so the water couldn't have touched anywhere where it was hurt...obviously it wouldn't have worked on Zuko, it didn't heal Aang's scar...
I would expect that it had the same properties as the water that healed Yue...

Well, they said you had to have had a "spiritual connection", so... it might have worked on Iroh or something, who has gone to the Spirit World, and it worked on Aangy.
Yeah... urg... internal bleeding. Poor kid.
I think too much of the water's energy was used on bringing Aang back to life, so it didn't heal his scar.
