What drives you, gentle creature? What possesses you to charm the birds out of flight, to strip them of freedom and devour them?
Do you taste bitterness?
Do you taste the tasteless, of empty satisfaction?
No.
Can I help what I look.
For it is just my heart, that wants for the feeble struggles, and the warm flesh to sate my hunger.

I don't think I am. I'm always so annoyingly happy-go-lucky.

But I've never had a pleasant dream.
Not once.
They're always so... negative. And I wake up at 1 in the morning, and take out my pencils and draw. This is the result.
BUT.
I've found drawing this immensely fun to do! Seriously, I tried to experiment with the starved effect. My anatomy is terrible, partly because I made it up kinda. >.>
I went overboard a bit with the chain, so cliche, but I couldn't erase it because I drew too hard. .>.>

I ADORE your work with pencils and how you combine your sketches with textures ~ It looks so awesome! This is a bit scary, especially his chest and big grin scares to me, but it's awesome! xD The way you've shaded everything looks so neat, and the anatomy is so good! I especially love the arm and the spikes on his back! that chain is very well done too ~ Love you work on this, it's wonderful Wispy

e3e I can relate with the dream thing.
I have so many nightmares. This also reminds me of a sort of good vs evil and beauty and the beast thing. It's a very wonderful concept.
I think ya did an awesome job experimenting with the emaciated look, ESPECIALLY around the arm.
I also love how messy the picture gets towards the bottom of the picture; it gives the picture a more 'dark' feel, but when you look at the bird, it's like 'peaceful'.

Ah, I find sometimes that the best time to draw is either dead of night or early morning, with the winds and sun and quiet...
It makes you, less stressed out? No quite, but there is no one up, and you feel like you can take forever.
