So I decided to post an image here on Deviant Art. The image is not mine it is a clamp image from the anime Clover. I have come across a person who pretty much posted an image that is from an anime called Macross and the character's name is called Lynn Minmei but named it Kagome from another anime called Inuyasah. I fallowed the procedures to report this fraud that the artist is claiming as his or her own and this is what was told to me that because the owner of or actual representative did not file a claim to get this issue fixed the mod will do nothing to remove the image i reported. and I will post the link to the artist claiming the image to be his or her own work.[link]

I personally think dA staff's current methods of enforcing copyrights are a load of shit. Copyright infringement is copyright infringement, and they should remove violations of their own website's policy regardless of who is reporting it. Copyright violations have become even more important to dA ever since they started plastering ads in every crevice they could possibly find. This means they are making money (hand over fist, I'm sure, considering how many people are on this website) through these copyrighted images. I highly doubt that a big ol' badger of a company (especially if it's a company like Toei Animation) will politely ask to remove the offending images. They're going to want compensation for the work making dA money without their permission, or they're going to sue. And if one company sues, that's going to scrounge up just about every copyright violation this site has to offer. dA would be, quite frankly, fucked beyond help.
