(btw, i went on holiday two weeks back, i came upon this old train museum, the trains are in the open filed, some were quite old and with aged rusts, i remembered your photos, took a whole lot of photos, upon getting home, deleted all of them. none came out remotely as good as yours. you set the bar, for me at least).

It did not look like that with one click of the camera! It is three photos merged together.

2. i am in the market purchasing a new dslr w/macro lens camera, favoring canon so far. i have this small cheap first generation digital camera, it inhibits my growth, i must retire her to my drawer sooner not later. i have the eyes for the subjects but...(you know the rest). my photos are what you get is what i see.
3. see...i don't know what you are talking about merging 3 photos into one, i am not good with technologies, do not use photo shop or adobe program. i think i should learn in order to yield some eye-appealing photos.
4. no i did not realize your photo was HDR, please sit down when you read this, i dont know what HDR means, but i will read up on it today.

1.) You are welcome ... umm I think 
2.) I only use Canon cameras and mainly canon lenses but I use the Tamron 18-200mm Asperical LDii Macro lens for my Macros, but there is a new 18 - 270mm with Vibration Compensation now.
3.) I did not know what HDR was a couple of months ago either. And yes, I use Photomatix Pro to make the HDRs, then Adobe Lightroom and then Adobe Photoshop.
4.) In my Journal, one of the first entries I made was a detailed explanation on how I create my HDR Photos ... it is in my journal somewhere if you want to see it.
5.) Ohh yeah ... pure Awesomeness I am or maybe pure evil ... I am not sure which

I thought I did too ... and I moved here three years ago to retire and then became very bored and miss the conveniences of a city.
We have to drive 220kms for groceries!!!!
But I built a very big house in a small town and it is hard to sell now, but will sell eventually!

I see. You probably built house in very remote area. I prefer to live in small town. I am worried only if I miss the galleries and museums, cinema and theaters, but I will found ways to visit them from time to time.
