This photo is sequel to the Autumn Forest which can be found here [link] ... same camera, same place (well, not exactly, but you can see the same trees if you compare) but different season.Last year I complained that there was no snow ... this year I complain that there is still snow, cold wind and all that kind of stuff

I actually have a number of graphic replies to this one: Where the witchens at 1 , Where the witchens at 2 , Witchens never sleep . All taken in the same and indeed pretty creepy place. Pretty dark witchens there, or maybe not even witchens, just some "presence". Also: DESTROY FOLKLORE , maybe..
I once read that it wasn't so much the Church as the gentry, the barons etc., who were behind the witch hunts, out of some purely materialistic purpose. They just brought in religion and the Witch Hammer and all that to stir up the masses. Such a version of history would make perfect sense to me. The notion of Jews as Christ Killers also arose from the need of crusaders to murder the Jewish bankers they had lent money from, but they couldn't murder just the bankers because that would have been too obvious, so they came up with the Christ Killers so they could murder them all. I can vividly imagine some very mundane reason behind the witch hunts, or at least initially. Do you know anything about that?
